POLARIS LIVE 2017 FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Polaris Live is the new and FREE Summer Concert Series at Polaris Fashion Place. Bring your dancing shoes or your lawn chair and enjoy refreshments as you listen to your favorite local cover bands playing yesterday’s at today’s hits. It will take place in the Polaris Lifestyle Center near Barnes & Noble and The Cheesecake Factory. Concerts are from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM each scheduled evening. Pre-concert activities begin at 6:00 PM. Concerts are open to the general public and admission is FREE! Adult beverage sold by two local charities throughout the event with all proceeds benefiting the charity’s causes. Seating for concerts is open-lawn, and all outdoors: lawn chairs are all permitted in the designated zones. (NO sporting equipment, coolers, alcoholic beverages, picnic tables, balloons, smoking or pets).

DONATE FANS!  The Delaware County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, in coordination with People In Need of Delaware County, are asking for donations of new box fans for the annual Delaware County EMA Donate a Fan program.   All donations will be delivered directly to People In Need, Inc. who will distribute the fans to community members who need them the most. All donations stay local. Fans can be purchased at local stores for under $20. Donation drop-off locations are all Delaware County fire and EMS stations, all Delaware County District Library branches and the People in Need (PIN) office located at 138 Johnson Drive in Delaware.The fan drive will run until Sept. 15 or until cooler weather prevails.  All donations are appreciated!  LEARN MORE

Delaware County Sheriff's Department Offers Access to Incident Reports Online  

To continue our philosophy of transparency and for the convenience of the public, the Sheriff’s Office is pleased to unveil our new online access to incident reports. These reports will include incidents and crimes such as:

• auto accidents/crashes, hit skip

• breaking & entering

• identity & credit card thefts

• suspicious persons & vehicles

• vandalism

• civil complaints

• found property

Reports are available 2 to 3 days from the date of the incident.

Evan Farm Town Center - Orange Township trustees approved rezoning of approximately 554 acres of land for the Evans Farm Town Center. Those supporting the development hope to bring a sense of 'identity' to Orange Township. With a projection of over 6 years to fully develop the Town Center, it will offer shops, restaurants, baseball diamonds, open space, miles of trails, apartments and single family homes. During June 2016, the North Orange Park Aquatic Center was nominated as a “Family Faves” by Columbus Parent for best outdoor municipal pool. In September we were notified that we tied as a runner up with Highlands Park Aquatic Center in Westerville beating out 7 other pools. Recently we received our award, look for it at the pool next season. Thank you for your support of the North Orange Park Aquatic Center over the years!


Meals on Wheels Available to Delaware County Adults Under 60 - SourcePoint currently has a limited number of openings for disabled individuals under the age of 60 in Delaware County to receive home-delivered meals. This service is provided with funding through United Way and an agreement with the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and helps ensure that any qualifying individual receives nutritional support. It has come to the attention of Orange Township that someone is posting a notice on mailboxes to paint your address numbers on the curb in front of your home. Painting address numbers on the curb is not an Orange Township requirement nor a requirement by the Post Office, Sheriff's Office or Fire Department. Additionally, this work should not be done without a Right-of-Way permit from the Township or County.  


ROAD CLOSURES & WORK 


6/6: SR 315 South of SR 750 to Jewett Rd.  Monday, June 12, 6 AM: SR 315 will close in both directions between SR 750 and Jewett Rd. for slope stabilization. The detour is SR 315 to SR 750 to US 23 to I-270 to SR 315 or reverse.  Complete: August 1

6/1: The Delaware County Engineer will be closing Howard Road between Hogback Road and N. Old State Road for a culvert replacement. The road will close on Monday, June 5 and is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 15.

5/30:  Delaware County Engineer will be closing Cheshire Road between Gregory Road and Balmoral Drive for sanitary installation . The road will close on Monday, June 5 and is scheduled to open Friday, June 9.         

5/24:   Decker Construction will be closing North Road between Shanahan Road and Lewis Center Road for road widening on behalf of Metro Development. The road will close on Tuesday, May 30 and is scheduled to open on Friday, July 14.  

5/24:  The Delaware County Engineer will be closing East Orange Road between S. Old State Road and Summerfield Drive for Delco utility work. The road will close Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and is scheduled to open Thursday, June 8, 2017

4/25/2017:  The Delaware County Engineer will be closing Lewis Center Road between Bale Kenyon Road and Africa Road for the reconstruction of the bridge over Alum Creek. The road will close on Monday, May 1 and reopen on Friday, June 30.
